Welcome to our research group website!

The mission of our research is to uncover the genetic underpinnings of psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Tourette syndrome (TS), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD), and other related conditions.

Our goal is not only to locate the genes involved in these conditions, but to eventually learn how these genes function. With this knowledge, we hope that improved treatments and interventions can be developed in order to minimize the impact that these conditions may have on an individual's life.

Additionally, we intend to better characterize these conditions by examining symptoms and behavioral traits that are shared across these disorders. We are working toward this goal by completing comprehensive psychiatric interviews, questionnaires and neuropsychological assessments with our research participants. This rich source of information will yield valuable insights into how these disorders are related and whether heritable components can be identified.
